Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? Comment if you or someone you know makes $200k (could be cash + equity) working 40h/week (at most 50h occasionally) in an industry (not consulting) strategy operations or other business-related role (not product management or software engineering type of techy role), at age 25 or 3 years after undergrad. I would put it at 200k. If you do 350k your TC is going to decrease significantly in years 2-4.
It’s supposed to be yearly, otherwise you are mixing time horizons (yearly salary) + (4 years of stock)

The people on this app absolutely max it out. So you’ll have people take that $350k, then add pension amount, then 401k matching, then healthcare contribution, then wellbeing subsidy, and end up with $425,500 TC, even if they’re only making $150k

People flub their comp on here via the equity. A lot of times people either a) bucket it all into one years worth of comp or 2) apply growth rate assumptions on it (eg it’s a unicorn so it’ll be worth 3x initial grant), etc.
