How's SVB doing? Is there a hiring freeze?
After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

It's pretty unprofessional on the company's part to be honest, especially if the case study is really just them pumping you for your ideas for free. Not sure how much time has elapsed or the type of company it is, but you can consider yourself lucky. Organizations and people like that aren't the ones you want to work for and it's better you find out now than later.
Absolutely. Better Organizations will typically call each of the candidates who did not get the role prior to announcing the one who did. HR will extend the offer and either: has contracted all the other candidates to inform them or (if internal and they need you imminently), ‘please do not say anything until we inform the other candidates. We expect that to be done by ‘x’ date. You’re going to see these details in well organized and structured companies.
Remember. they need you and your skills too. This is a mutually beneficial agreement. You deserve the courtesy of notification and feedback, (especially if you got that far, good ones will absolutely have feedback: we do have another role or something to the effect of them wanting you in some capacity).
I know this can be a really tough position to be in, but it actually gives you the indication that you’re almost to the point of receiving an offer (although perhaps not with that firm). Usually buyside firms know who they want, so if you’re their top choice, they’re pretty quick to extend. However, if you’re in a waiting game, look for leverage. Look to get accelerated in another similar process to create competitive tension, and eventually once you get to the final rounds of maybe 3-4 processes, especially close in timeframe, you’ll likely receive an offer in hand. Be patient, keep at it.
Being really persistent is a great way to burn bridges. I know it's frustrating and a horrible feeling to get ghosted, but reacting and getting emotional about it is probably the worst thing you could do. Take a deep breath, stop following up, and wait for them to come to you.
Why is it the worst thing you can do? If a recruiter or company is treating you like shit why not call them up and tell them them they are pieces of shit?
I keep track of Casper the friendly Recruiter’s name, company and number so in the future I know to not even bother with them. I make connections with the company employees, send my resume, and apply for the job myself.
