Is 400k the new 100k?
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

What are the best Sales books y’all read?
Hey Fishbowl family - anyone working at EY-Parthenon that would be willing to chat with me about their experiences (with the potential of a referral)? I have total of 5 yoe specifically in Life Sciences and really would like to explore the potential of interviewing for their NY office. I have been able to land interviews/offers from other T2 firms but would really love to network and connect with EYP. EY EY-Parthenon

Honestly, I’ve been on the industry side of things and most of the time I didn’t care about the consultant’s name other than if my boss’ boss told me to send him something. Don’t get me wrong, some do care, but not enough to make a big thing out of it
That helps a lot actually haha. Thank you
Before the call, I would ask your manager to do an intro for you on the call or directly ask how you’ve been presented to the client, that way you know what tone to set and info to share
This. Ask for a quick intro. And no, don’t be sitting there telling them your background and that you came from a Big 4. They don’t care and that sounds... dumb. To put it simply.
Maybe I am overthinking it but this is my first job in consulting and want to get it right. Do I just give my name and say hey happy to join? A brief background of where I came from (used to work at big 4)?

Follow the lead of others in your team. If they just say their name and role on the project, you do the same. I always tell my team not to mention # of years with the Firm if it’s not relevant.

I generally give my name, where I work (bc I’m usually the loner who is in CST and who works remote even pre-covid), and just one quick bit of my experience that speaks to what I’ll bring to the project.
I usually check out the client on social media for any connections— if he/she and I share a college or city in common, I might mention that to break the ice.
