How does your agency structure its Engagement/Activation/Digital Strategy dept, as far as titles/roles go? It doesn't seem as defined as other depts and, from what I can tell, it also isn't uniform across agencies. For example, in our Copy dept, the succession is:

1. Junior Copywriter
2. Copywriter
3. Sr Copywriter
4. Copy Supervisor
5. Copy Group Supervisor
6. VP, Copy Group Sup
7. VP, ACD
8. SVP, ACD
9. SVP, CD
10. SVP, ECD

If a hiring manager in industry books in a call post final round interview, could this still be a rejection / further interview? Or does it mean it's most likely an offer?

I'm in Silicon Valley, and been in the industry for about 15 years now. Fell into the corporate in-house role and been in those ever since. I primarily do marketing/brand design. I'd love to get to AD level, but I think my main issues has been that I rock the boat a lot and don't play the "corporate game well", piss off the wrong people. Does anyone have any advise for how to advance in corporate environement while keeping the integrity of creative alive?

I'm feeling incredibly anxious and honestly depressed right now because of work. I had already been feeling demotivated and wanting to leave but I was told on Monday that I was being out on probation for one year (I am not going into detail on this). And now my manager is pressing me about finding a new project role as I have been on the bench for more than a month, and one possible one may require travel. I just want to get out of my job now and hear back from the 10+ applications I have now.

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Maybe this is the socialist in me but shouldn’t Moderna and Pfizer waive their patent exclusivity for their Covid vaccines? Don’t we have a moral obligation for the world to vaccinate as many people as quickly as possible?

It blows my mind that many countries won’t be able to vaccinate most of their people until 2023. There should be access to vaccine generics
