Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

I have an hour commute on three toll roads. Yes, you will resent the commute. Taking the non-toll road option would be 1 1/2 hours for me.

That’s rough and I really don’t know if I could do something similar
I have a 45 minutes drive, but only 3 times a week since it’s hybrid. I find the drive to be relaxing, toss on a podcast.

Could you double your commute time though?
You will absolutely resent it. I spend 2 hours in the car every day and it drives me insane. I'm actively looking for something closer and will happily take a paycut if it means wasting less of my life getting to and from work.

Thanks for the feedback, that’s what I was thinking but just wanted to make sure
How much of a pay difference is there between your current role and the new offer? I wouldn't take a job 1.5 hours away, but that is me personally. I don't want to spend 3 hours a day in the car.

It’s like an extra 15% but feel like it would be a better place to work
That’s a significant jump in commute time. I’d weigh the long-term career benefits, compensation and flexibility like Hybrid Job😊A Cruise ship company is also currently in need of 6 remote workers. They pay upto $7k per 2 weeks, I believe they're more in search of online Merchandise staffs, it's about keeping records of Food&Beverage sales remotely. is anyone in for it?
What are the requirements needed for position? I am interested in remote online.

That is more than I would be willing to commute. That’s 2 extra hours per day that are gone. If it’s possible I would consider moving to not have as long of a commute, it only gets complicated if you own a home.
You definitely shouldn’t move then, I hate driving so that would be way too much of a commute for me
That’s 3 hours round trip?

It’s 4 days a week so I’m really not sure if it’s worth it
A 1.5 hour commute (assuming that is one way) is too much of a commute for me. How many days per week will you need to go into the office?
If it's more than 1-2 days per week, that would be too much of a commute. Not to mention rare and tear on your vehicle. That drive will get old really fast. Some people like and don't mind the long commute, I am not one of them.
Unless the pay is significantly more than what you are making now, I wouldn't do it, like 30-50% more. I did do a hour plus commute, 5 days per week before, and I hated it after about a month or so. Now my commute is about 20-25 minutes, 2 days per week.
More commute time means less time at home with family and friends. it's not worth it for me. But I have known people that have had a hour + commute each way, and liked it. But it certainly is not for everyone.
