How hard is it to move from Tier 2 to MBB? Is it worth it?

My team(over $2mm in revenue and $250mm in AUM) is exploring the RIA space. Any insights from similar former wirehouse teams who have already made the move, or teams considering going RIA? Many thanks

Currently an EM at McKinsey, joined as a lateral hire after 6yrs in consulting (strategy boutique) and a short stint at a lesser known PE firm. What prospects would I have pivoting back to PE?

Considering going into Finance Technology roles within big4. I have have >3 years background from deloitte doing Tax Technology. Can anyone speak to these finance technology role &/or give referral?

Currently at BNY Mellon with 10 YOE, specifically in Corporate Trust working CLO/CDO’s (first job out of college). I’ve moved around within the bank a few times but I’m just not happy here nor am I where I want to be in terms of comp . I want to pivot into something else but I have no clue what skills I could transfer elsewhere as what we do is so niche. They sucked me in when they said it would be a FA role but we don’t do any modeling, forecasting, etc.. Any advice/suggest/rec’s much apprecia

Can a lateral senior analyst get promoted to data scientist in the half yearly cycle if performance and feedback from client is good?

Is it a fail of character leaving biglaw? I want to leave, but despite the constant stress and suffering, I can’t avoid feeling like it’s my fault or that maybe I’m over exaggerating how I feel. PARTNERS: two questions —1. If you see an associate has really low hours for the month, do you imagine them chillen on a beach somewhere or do you consider they probably spent most of their days sitting in front of the computer being “available”? 2. If you send an associate a random e-mail on a weekend like “Can you pull X and send to Y”, would you get annoyed if they responded saying they weren’t by a comp or would you consider it reasonable that they wouldn’t be by a comp on a weekend?

I like the Apple Card and considering opening one but want to see if there are better alternatives. It’s enticing that if I lose my card, I can instantly change the number so someone can’t use it. Plus no numbers means someone can’t randomly make a large fraudulent purchase.

I have accepted my sexuality and found peace with the long battle of wanting to be something not what I actually am. On one side I have a lot of pressure around me being gay and trying to get a PR and get out of India, on another side I have a lot financial issues.
