SD is relatively easy to get from an AD(4- 6 months max) . I was offered one while on the “waitlist “ for a Batman. Decided to not take it based on the size.
Same story here. Looking at alternatives.
Figure it might be easier than sub, gmt, etc.
Looking at SS, non-Deepsea.
MAYBE black Deepsea, but that’s a thiccc timepiece.

Not a sea dweller but if you want thicker and a kick ass piece, loving my bb pro

Don’t think it’s too hard.

Tourneau offered me one without a purchase history in late 2020. I turned it down bc it was just too big.

One near me for sale. Super thicc. Actually did a double take on it and thought oof

It’s very nice but DAYUM it’s thick
An old school SD might not be that hard I love mine but it was appraised at much less than my GMT II. To me it is what the old SD does that I love. I don’t like the Deep Sea thing they did after 2009 after they discontinued the earlier one. And the new SD is just a differently branded sub. Subs are great. But the real SD is a lot thicker, has the helium escape valve, and no “cyclops.” Sorry. I might as well be saying “get off my lawn”! Ha!

Agree with this take, the 16600 reference is best!
All the sports model are hard but I think SD is easier than Sub. Got the AD call for a SD and was told the Sub was going to take longer. It’s a bigger watch, definitely worth it. The newer models are just like a Sub, with the cyclops eye and the red lettering is a nice touch. I don’t think I’ll get the Sub anymore.
That’s even better. My wrist isn’t that big but I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on it. You won’t regret it!
