To be honest, I think R1 is more competitive than R2. Based on gmat club, the percentage of people invited to interview is higher in R2. I personally haven’t had a rejection yet for R2, got 5 interviews out of 6 schools. Only waiting on Sloan.

Same went 5/6 for interviews, only ding was Wharton.
Wharton admissions sent out an email saying that they received more applications for R1 than ever before.
Only actual data I’ve seen and it’s still kinda vague. But yeah, looks like things were more competitive R1

I saw some internal BCG NAMR data that showed we had 10-15% less interview rate this year
Was the lower rate isolated to specific schools on that list, or across the board?
Anecdotally, it's was tougher in this year's round 1 than year's past.
Round 2 seems to be slightly better than round 1.
By the way, I'm speaking in terms of year over year ...Sorry if I wasn't clear about that.
