How have salary and benefits changed in your lifetime? I remember my dad working for GM and having the best health care and a pension he is still receiving today. It’s sad to see those days are long gone

Benefits seems to go down and more expensive. Salary is much higher (10X+ for me as I started my career at 32K and now in the mid 300K base + bonus). Things that I can control are keep learning, contributing, and enjoying every single moment of it.

My dad also worked for GM and he died still getting retirement from them. These days all of that has become non-existent. They juts don't set you up like they used to.

I am in Union. 5 years ago we had $35 copay and no out of pocket expenses. Know we pay $65 copay plus $2000 out of pocket. Still we have good health benefits. But due to increase in health cost they had no choice but to raise our copay. Everything is getting expensive and tariffs won’t help anyone.

I am planning to make my first switch. How much can I expect outside the org with the above exp.?? ( Stack- java&springboot microservices. ) Any actual experiences will also help. Also, how much is the average pay at Mindtree for the above exp?

TIA for the help! :)

Hi Everyone !!!

This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at
Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.

I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?

Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

Hi all,

After the final interview, HR reached out and said they would like to extend an offer. HR gave a ball park of 135k - 145k base with about 15k in sign-on equity and 20k annual bonus.

After a couple of days, HR person came back with with 125k base and 20k annual bonus. No sign-on equity anymore. What should I do given that these numbers seem way lower than the initial range provided? HR claimed it’s because of “market conditions”.

I asked for a raise in April 2022 after three years with my company. Positive feedback since day one. Learned I was making less than peers at other asset managers in NYC with less experience (14 years). Latest conversation was with HR about how they calculate salaries. I’ve been asked to provide examples how my role has changed since I started to justify the increase. Is this normal? Or is this just their way of denying my request?

I’m in a little of a pickle but a good one. Offer A. Established “start up” doing well financially and projected to hit profitability. 130k base. Stocks offered, unlimited PTO, and 70% Medical covered. Offer B. Is at a business much larger…90k salary with 10% bonus and generous stock offering. Titles are different which is why the pay is much different. I know some may think it is a no brainer but offer A allows me to grow the department ground up whereas offer B id be apart of to just different

3 YOE in Marketing through internships in college, followed by 2 years Financial Operations/Data Tools full-time. I got an offer for $75K at TekSystems for a Market Analyst role. I gave them a range of $70-75K, so they gave the max. But I am questioning asking for a bit more given insurance is apparently on the higher-end and I want to ensure I didn't low-ball myself.

Just to note, this is about a 25% increase compared to what I am currently making.
