-I am an Asian guy who is 28, born in the US

-went to a decent state school for undergrad (Rutgers/Penn State/Ohio State)

-graduated with a 3.43 GPA

-Got a 730 GMAT

- will have a five years of work experience at S&P Global Ratings as a credit analyst when applying, six years at matriculation (have been promoted twice)

Many in my MBA program are hyper grade focused. Do grades matter that much post MBA for future job opps at all? My approach has been to balance academics with relationship building and practicing exec presence and for me, pivoting to a new industry

I was a teacher for 4 years and transitioned into the corporate world. I have 6 months experience in marketing and that’s what I currently do, but plan for a lateral move in the future. I’ve seen suggestions of 3-7 years experience - does my teaching experience factor in? Or should I consider the 3-7 years only of my corporate time? Or is an MBA sooner a good move because of my big career transition (and future lateral)?
