I re-booked the delta flight on ~cringe~ united, and made it home 2 hrs late. Delta refunded the original ticket and the drama is over. Was a mess but Delta is still better than the other US carriers.
I finally made it out of atlanta yesterday, too. 6th try over two days...Call centers overloaded, app not working, lines like you've never seen at the clubs...I'm a Delta 360 and I got an apology note...not even some miles...sent them back a reply letting them know how little the apology meant to me
Just buy a condo in your new hometown.
It's a mess for sure, I get that they can't control weather - but what the heck is wrong with their IT systems? Somebody -go consult!
I was trying to fly to Charleston from Atlanta on Thursday. I ended up driving after my flight got cancelled 5 times. I'm still getting updates on my flight and keep getting moved to new flights and it still hasn't taken off...
Why don't you just fly private chartered jet??... I can only imagine the frustration that all the commercial airline peasants must have felt over the last week.
i live in atl, have been stuck in boston since thurs night and was rebooked on earliest possible flight MONDAY morning. doubtful that one will even take off. now flying first thing tomorrow morning into charlotte and driving home from there only to turn around and head back out the door first thing monday

Please go on twitter and call for the head of crew scheduling. This is a complete and utter fail on the part of crew management. SkyClub agents telling me that they had FA's and pilots sitting in crew lounges until they timed out.
had to get home to deal with some things otherwise would have just stayed here. thinking about requesting a week remote since i didnt get a weekend at home when i really needed to get some things done. thoughts?
I just got an update that they put me on a flight to Newark. WTF??? That was not where I was going. Their systems are so screwed up right now...I just see this being a mess for a long time for delta.
Same, I drove home Friday night (6+ hours....) After they cancelled and rebooked me for Sunday. Been trying to call them for a refund but no luck
I couldn't get anything from Delta either. I'm just now (2 days later) on a United flight to Atlanta from Newark. Still haven't heard anything from Delta about my cancelled flight and was never able to book anything else with them
Just imagine if all consultants boycotted delta....that'd show em
