I joined KGS in feb 2022, we recently got a mail regarding timeline of appraisal and bonus payout from the partner. My reporting manager hasn't yet reached out to me regarding goal setting, not sure if that happens here. Can you pls help me to know what all things we need to do from our end for the appraisal cycle and bonus payout? Since I'm new to this company KPMG KPMG India

Culture? It is a bit outdated here…meaning core enterprise values and such aren’t as progressive as they could be, but they’re working on it, truly.
Pay? Definitely could be better, but know your worth! Negotiate your salary if you get to those stages!
WLB? I love it. I work regular hours, clock out clock in. I’m good here. Gives me extra time to do extra things, like work on my side business 🥹
Training? Probably one of the best, could be very structured at times depending on your business unit thought.
Management? I think it’s alright, though I do feel like at times it’s an every man for themselves type of thing here. You really have to advocate for yourself here just cause there’s also several other people here who are super intelligent.
I went from GH to Gartner. Night and Day difference. I was an SC and got a 30 percent bump to do 25 percent less work. I am also in R&A, not consulting.
WLB is truly great- I have never worked at night or on weekends and our email system asks you if you try to send a message off normal working hours if you are sure you want to do that.
Pay- comp is low compared to big 4, but it's better than GH Fed and again per hour comparison is usually pretty favorable to Gartner.
Yeah we aren't progressive but we also aren't fake about it. There are a lot of well meaning people here who are trying to learn and that's better than snide people who aren't.
Management. The system is really interesting here, with splits between people managers and product managers. I think the style they embrace here (coaching, lots of peer mentoring, etc) has been overall great for me.

Also forgot to mention- virtual first is a game changer and no one is even thinking about RTO. It's been a real benefit to my own WLB.
