Culture is terrible, and there's no support to help you grow in your career. Especially if you're looking to do conceptual work.
It is. But looks good on the resume.
The people are awesome, and depending on the account/group - the culture can be pretty good.
As Fmr R/GA totally depends on ur client and ur group. Met some really phenomenal people there that i remain in touch with both professionally and personally. But we had to make that happen.
Like most agencies, it is what you make of it. I went from loving it, to hating it, to loving it again, thanks to a couple good moves and a few opportunities outside of group-only work. There's a lot to do and so much to grow from, if you're willing to find, ask for, and act on it.

Your response to this physical office space will be a good indication of your POV re:R/GA. Either nightmare dystopia or pretty cool. If you can get the interview, visit and decide for yourself.
R/GA 7 puts it perfectly.
How about your Portland office?
Culture is non existent. It's as stark white as our office decor. Oddly so I am happy here, but I guess like anything in life it's a matter of what's delivering what you most value at the moment and there are a lot of smart people here and flexibility. But I'm also not in creative. We need an overhaul/vision/purpose.
For a junior if you are proactive, not picky about projects, and in a learning mindset you will quickly become a favorite. If you know exactly what you want to work on and need someone to tell you what to do before you try things, you will hate it. I think it's a great place for those early in their career. The politics don't hit you until you get higher up.
Agree with the above. No real culture or pov.
