I have also recently cleared all interview rounds in TCS & HR Shared 'Salary Breakup'. Still, my status in the iBegin portal is not changing from 'Evaluation in Progress' to 'Evaluated' & so on, even after uploading all required documents. They had initiated the process 2 times, 1st on 16th Nov and 2nd on 24th. Please let me know, how long it will take to release the final offer letter. Thanks

Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

Just switched over a couple years ago from Deloitte and I’d describe it as a toned down Big4. It’s not quite as cutthroat and is a little more laid back. I’ve found the talent just as comparable with some super talented people and some duds. The structure and expectations are quickly shifting to be similar as big4 though
Agree with it definitely shifting to be similar to big4. The culture is awful, and I had a sr manager get jealous of my personal life (like what I wear, where I go for vacation). It was honestly funny and I brushed it off, but just know the culture isn’t great at every office.
Not a meme. 😊
True, we are not there quite yet.
Agree with SM1. Lots of growth right now and turnover has been back to pre-pandemic. Culture can vary by geography and team, but you can say that anywhere. I personally enjoy my team and work and plan to stay awhile.
I have worked at Deloitte and KPMG and like it at BT much better. Less bureaucracy and red tape, no overly cumbersome processes, more laid back, etc. I don’t plan on making a move for awhile.
The culture is very dependent on geography, industry, and team (tax/audit). I personally really enjoy working at BT I know others from other offices and teams that are not an happy. The partners I work with are very personable. I’m in Tax btw.
My team is great and I’m highly satisfied but YMMV. Corporate tax btw
Been here 10 years across multiple industry groups and actually work internally now. I love it. Feel super supported and respected in my work and family time.
I’ve been with BT for 2.5 years and have been generally happy with things. The culture and firm dynamics have changed a bit because of the pandemic, but it’s demonstrably clear the firm is growing. BT is now a top 10 accounting firm in the US
It really depends on location, practice and team members. Sorry vague but the truth. Everyone has different expectations and experiences.
Been in DC Audit a couple years, culture has been great. Busy seasons not terrible, very little stress rest of the year. It’s been exactly what I’d hoped it to be; large enough to have name recognition, but small enough to be more people-oriented and less cutthroat. Like others have said it definitely depends on the office/area. But if I leave, it won’t be lateral/for another firm.
Great firm, spent my initial career there before I switched out of accounting entirely.
