How is the culture at Guidehouse ? Was contacted by a recruiter for Sr. Consultant position in LS and am interested in applying only to escape current WLB struggles (i.e., 5 consecutive months of consistent, 12-14 hr days and weekends at non-MBB/LEK/CV firm).

Was in the same exact same boat about 2 months ago (think ZS/Trinity) , I heard pretty bad things about Guidehouse particularly post acquisition by Bain Capital on fishbowl ( take this with a grain of salt) so decided to try make my situation here better
Also would like to ask haha I’m having such a hard time hanging on at my current firm. It takes me everything in my power to not quit on the spot, on a daily basis.
Head of the practice is a walking HR violation
I agree with what C2 mentioned. To add on the type of projects- gh is moving toward most projects being launch support. WLB could be bad depending on the accounts you’re working on, you do anything and everything under the sun the client is asking for with little management of scope. You can’t really plan for your day to day because you’re expected to do whatever the client is asking you to do that day which could be nothing or everything all at once with the highest urgency
As your current environment seems unsuitable, I would recommend taking the gamble and switching to Guidehouse.
Your current role will continue to drain you and not give you the mental space to think about your future career. This workload is unsustainable and eventually you will burn out.
By switching, you are at least giving yourself the opportunity for improvement.
