Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Has anyone tried doing this yet? Can anyone shine more light on this? The extension would really help me, but I’m not sure what more to tell them in my email than the fact that I couldn’t sit for the exams this Spring/Summer due to test centers closing in NYC.

Hello all, I’m planning for a career switch. As I’m currently in Finance sector and planning to quit my job and to start my career in IT Hardware companies like: HP, Dell and Lenovo etc.. Before taking this jump I want to know how is the career growth in IT Hardware, how is the promotion structure in such companies. I personally don’t like my present job as it doesn’t relate any part of my interest.

I was hired a few months ago by D to do data science. I am not doing data science currently, is there a way I can switch roles internally? Should I talk to my coach? Or should I just start looking for a new job. I’m starting to feel that the field is so hot rn my small stint at D won’t be a big deal to other firms.

I’m in IT in a large corp and I don’t know what to do. I’m the systems engineer and I planned around what I thought was a straight forward concept. It appears what I thought would be possible was wrong. Everyone celebrated thinking I’d figured it out, including me. Moved from agency after 6yrs, into a startup (€8m Series A, high growth); first marketing hire. My manager is ex VC, seems to like managing by fear, let’s fire X, let’s cut the agency etc. sets tight deadlines & adds urgent items last minute.
