Depends on number of factors. Whether you're in BT(screwed) or BA/BO. Whether your client is on West coast/east coast or EU-based. If you get PI
industry, you're the luckiest.
Its a myth that ZS pays well. I can tell you, every firm that ZSers typically move to, pays higher at every level. Some examples are McKC, BCC, Accenture S&C, Axtria, IQVIA, Novartis, etc.
Progression in the firm is really difficult. You'll never mover ahead if you just counted on performance and ratings. You need to have 'conversations' with your manager. A soft-nudge. The typical jump duration is ever increasing from 1.5 to 2 to 2.5yrs. C to M can easily be over 3yrs.
Funny part is they pay 25L to a new manager after spending day and night in the firm. Any tom dick n harry firm beats that offer in first try for someone with ZS experience. So join for the experience, not the pay and benefits.
Another thing to consider is that they have no vision to go beyond the pharma industry. Firms like IQVIA that started really behind are now considered more premium outside India coz they didn't restrict their growth in a particular direction like ZS citing 'culture' excuses which anyways has gone to sh*t now.
As far as i have read and understood from this forum, ZS associates are faving a resource crunch at this time and there in no wlb there, although the compensation, perks and people make up for it
