How late are you willing to respond to emails or Teams messages from your boss? I feel like this is one of those unwritten rules at work. One quick reply at 9pm feels small in the moment, but sometimes that’s how a new expectation gets set. On the flip side, leaving it until morning can feel slightly rebellious depending on the culture. Do you have a hard cutoff time, or does it depend on who it’s from and what it’s about?

Hello all! I am looking for a job in finance/investments, but I’m having trouble attracting attention from employers. I have a finance degree from UGA, but all of my experience (3.5 years) is in sales (tech and real estate), so no relevant internships unfortunately. I have an offer in PE VP role in Citco and JPM and I am at cross road on which is one to company to choose. Their pay is very similar but JPM is offering an attractive signing on bonus. I need a honest advise on which is better between these two firms.
