Most people take 6 months or more to actually become good at a new job in my experience. Not fully grasping the lay of the land after 2 weeks doesn't sound concerning. Especially since you are aware of it.
At least a year. You need to see the whole business cycle

About a month and a half after I left Crowe.
5-6 months with adequate training.
In a former role in public accounting - about 6 months to feel comfortable but much more comfortable after a year.
But private accounting id say 3-6 months to feel comfortable and again a year to be fully cosy!
It’s a new role in public. I’m coming from another public firm. It’s so different!
Took me between 6 months and a year. Still learning new stuff all the time but not feeling overwhelmed by it any longer. Good Luck!
