Any tips on how to start and prepare my MBA Application? I don’t plan on applying till 2022 as I want to attend in 2023. What are things I can do to prepare now in order to have a strong application? Background: I’m aiming for HSW, M7, and top 15. I’m currently a Staff at EY within Business Consulting. I graduated from a Top 25 Business Undergrad - majoring in Finance and minor in Advertising with a 3.71 GPA. I want to pivot towards PM or Corporate Strategy in Tech, at Toyota, or Nike. TIA!

For biglaw I usually get told at the end of the interview something like "I'm sure you'll hear back from us" or something to that effect and then I get the callback request in an hour or so. Sometimes can take until the next business day. If it takes longer than a couple days, that's your signal that they likely have several candidates who are at least equally or more skilled than you or at least they anticipate they will soon interview with someone who is a better fit. Following up can sometimes help but usually only if you have a deadline (eg you're also interviewing with other firms so you need an expedited timeline). If they think they might lose you, they might send you to the second round even if they aren't sure about you as long as you checked off enough of their boxes

A few days maybe. Then same amount of time after callback round before offer call. This varies wildly between firms and even between groups within a firm though, depending on people’s schedules. Keep your head up and don’t go crazy.
