I have applied to several positions up Google. I have not heard anything back at all. No matter if I customize my résumé to the job description I still don’t hear anything back. I am wondering as to why Google ghost people instead of just telling them that they didn’t get the job? Do people on Google believe it is appropriate for the recruiters just a ghost people especially if they feel they don’t match the job?
Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

The timeline for reviewing applications and scheduling interviews can vary widely depending on the company's internal processes, the volume of applications received, and other factors. It's not uncommon for the hiring process to take several weeks or even months, especially for larger organizations.
If you submitted your application in April and haven't received a reply yet, it's understandable that you might be concerned. While it's possible that your application is still under consideration, there could also be other factors at play. For example, the role may have received a high number of applications, leading to delays in the review process. Additionally, the company might be prioritizing other candidates or have specific criteria they are looking for.
If the position continues to be posted on LinkedIn, it suggests that the company is still actively recruiting for that role. Reaching out to HR via LinkedIn can be a reasonable approach to inquire about the status of your application. However, it's important to do so professionally and politely, expressing your continued interest in the position and asking if there are any updates on the hiring process.
Remember to keep your message concise and clear, focusing on your enthusiasm for the role and your qualifications. Avoid being pushy or demanding, as this could create a negative impression. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether reaching out to HR directly is the right move, based on your understanding of the situation and your comfort level with taking that step.
Lastly, please note that the specific hiring practices and procedures of PIMCO may have changed since my knowledge cutoff in September 2021. It's always a good idea to refer to the company's official website, job postings, or reach out to their HR department for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
