New PM here. Here’s benchmarks my managers set: 1 month - understand the company and culture; 2 months - understand the product; 3 months - write a prd; 1 year- feel confident as a PM

Sounds about right
I never feel comfortable and rarely feel confident. I think it’s a good thing for product but can be exhausting.
I know the feeling
We are always our own worst critics. It definitely takes some time, ignore your doubts and focus on the feedback in front of you. You will settle in eventually and start to feel more comfortable.
I agree with what's been said here. Most important is the company, the product and mentors. Generally after a year in you will feel significantly more confident than you do when you first start. However, you will also be aware of many more problems and that can sometimes add to the neverending imposter syndrome mentioned here.
It depends. I just joined a highly complex organization and industry and everyone I've talked to tells me it will take 6-9 months to really understand the products. It's hard to hear that when I'm used to producing results within the first month. It's been two months so far and I'm still nowhere near understanding everything.
I’m a PM that like novelty so I always switch industry, type of company, product etc..
I have just started a new role in a consulting company so it’s my first client facing PM role, it’s been a bit more than 3 weeks it is very challenging lot of new things and I think it will take me lot of time to settle definitely!
I will say take your time, listen, learn how the company work, how people work, observe ask questions and I’m sure in no time you will feel settled.
I thnk observation is so key - instead of letting yourself get too into imposter syndrome, just observe, learn, absorb. No one is expecting you to get everything overnight, and the more you watch and learn, the better you'll feel. It's a temporary feeling!

It takes about two months before I gain any real confidence and quit faking it. How long have you been in the role?
