I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

3 rounds for me- Basic experience based, Technical and one with a Specialist leader.
1st interview to offer took 8 days end to end.
Recruiter screen, 3 rounds of interviews on a Friday, offer on that following Monday. Super easy.
For me it was recruiter > manager > SM > partner > partner > partner
Took over 6 months. I legit thought they were screwing with me. Gave up trying to prep for the interviews even. But then offer came through and it was decent so I took it. In hindsight, shouldn’t have 🤷♂️

I was also recruited after I completed my mba. I received an automated email stating I was selected to participate in a screening for the position I had applied for. The initial screening was with a senior consultant and lasted about 30 minutes over zoom. He told me a little bit about what he does, the work/projects available. He asked me some questions but nothing formal. It felt more like a conversation.
I then received an email from recruiter to schedule 1st and 2nd (case study) round interviews. Process of scheduling took a few days because of availability issues with some of the interviewers.
Almost a week later I had my interview, 1st with a senior manager for about 45 minutes via zoom, and the 2nd with a senior consultant for about 30minutes on the same day.
1st round was typical interview questions about my past experiences. Nothing out of the ordinary, pretty straight forward. 2nd interview was a case study. I studied the links provided by the recruiter in order to prepare for the case study and I also watch a lot of YouTube videos on how to approach some of the problem questions.
Entire process took about 3 weeks.
It took 10 days from recruiter reaching out to completing my super day, then 2 business days to get the offer
Depends on the offering portfolio/teams. My team is generally two interviews with Sr. Manager/Managers (one behavioral/one technical) then one interview with Partner level which is generally behavioral. 2 weeks start to finish.

Got hired a year ago. Easiest interview of my life for SC role. Felt so confident that I thought Microsoft would be a piece of cake too. Boy was I wrong....D interview is so not a big deal. 3-4 easy breezy back to back interviews.
When I got hired in 2012 it was 18 months
For me it went: screening w recruiter, behavior/experience with SM, case study and then partner.

Did they stop doing case studies or does it depend on your experience. I didn’t have any of those? Mine was simple behavioral and background related.

It depends is the answer for any company. I was hired 2018. I had a screen with recruiter, interview 2 days after, and a super day 1 week after that. Had offer within 3 business days
Super day? Lol I just had 3 interviews over the span of two weeks
