How many hours a week do you typically work at MBB?

I’ve heard that MBB’s hours are worse than Big 4/ACN consulting, but here I feel like I’m working 80-90 hr workweeks already.

What is salary range and/or total comp for a SM/D entering into big 4? Obviously I’m talking about D and p dubs, respectively. Have 2.5 years consulting experience. 16.5 years industry exp. Ty

Do you know what today is, today is the day I am now allowed back to office as our vaccination requirement was dropped? I still can’t go to our office in NYC and possibly some other jurisdictions and we do need to follow client rules to visit them.

I don’t cut my hours, I consistently reach 7 hours a day, but it’s not enough to meet my firm’s minimum requirement. I’m usually working 9 hours/day.

Discussion post: I feel almost all consulting firms are the same. Mbb, big 4 etc. if you are paid enough there is probably less wlb. If there is good wlb there is not much money. Can you single out a company that you can confidently say pays very well and also has good wlb and also has good opportunities etc.?

Offer letter mentioned recovery of joining bonus if separation before 1 year. If i resign now ,my lwd is beyond 1year since I joined 10 months back. Which date will be considered here? Day of separation filing or actual lwd .

I make $4000/M after taxes and max 401K and spend about $2400 for all fixed costs (rent, utilities, etc). So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds. Reasoning is that I don’t want to lock away all that money maxing out 401k. Have 3 months expenses liquid in a savings account. Is this really dumb? Essentially trading tax for the option of actually using my money.
