My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. When would taking a break between jobs get normalized in India. If one wants to take a break, he/she needs to figure out first how the gap would need to be explained to the next company.
"I took a break because I needed it for my mental health as the job can become quite stressful as the experience increases" should be an acceptable answer and the companies should stop low balling if a candidate is capable enough.

There is buzz word :: career transition. Say doing something for a long yrs and learning new technology to switch from A to B tech stack.

I had my L1 at Capgemini on 12th of August and I didn not hear back from them.
A few hours back I got an email from Capgemnini that my profile has been entered by the HR who had got in touch with me for the initial discussion for the role(not the recruiter).
I have called the recruiter and she does not have much knowledge except that my L1 was positive.
My LWD at my current organisation is 16th sep.
