Latina first gen here. Only took it once but I literally got the minimum score to practice in my state after the roughest summer of my life. Nonetheless I made it. Thank God.
Congrats, sounds like you did the perfect amount of studying. I’m not even kidding.
Passed first time. Started studying in April so I wouldn't have to pull all nighters and the like. I think what they say about it being a mind game is really true since some of the smartest people in my JD class failed it twice.
Once. Schooled in Africa and only did an LLM but passed with a healthy margin. But I am a person of faith and strongly believe I only passed by the mercy of God… That exam is torture
Thank you!!
Passed on the first try. Black female attorney. Proudest moment of my life because I did that all by my damn self.
Latinx attorney. I passed it the first time but I spent my entire summer from 8am to 8pm studying for it. Only took Sundays off. I always hear it’s biased against POC, what else is new.
This was my study routine as well
Chief
I studied 13+ hours a day for 3 weeks with no days off. It was miserable. Passed, thankfully.

Once, but it was the NY COVID bar. Never again.
I passed the MPRE by one point 😬
Passed it the first time but by a narrow margin.
Two as well. Latino lawyer.
POC. Passed first time & studied 2 months 8am-5pm
Once. Started studying in April so that I wouldn’t have such long days. African American and Latina. Only attorney in family.
One time. With 15 days prep in CA and NY. Not a US JD.
Thanks for this !!!
Three times. Chicano & Native American.
Once (California). Black. Treated bar prep like a 9-5 job for 7 weeks and studied around 12 hours a day for the last 2 weeks leading up to the exam.
Two.
I passed the first time on that one but took a bar exam in another country and failed that one once and passed the second time
Two
Once
Once. Studied 9-8pm for 2 months.
