I joined @mindtree in Jan 2022. Suddenly there is a 10k deduction in salary in the month of April. The salary slip say 10k deduction as INCOME TAX. Mindtree says "You come under 20% slab according to the income tax calculations. When all the tax slabs are applied you will have to pay yearly tax around Rs. X amount. So that amount will be deducted in monthly basis." Why sudden income tax deduction? Why was that not deducted in the month of Jan Feb March ? How can i recover that 10k every month?

I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. Started at said firm summer of 1L year as a law clerk/patent agent in May 2019, have worked through school and full time as associate since Sept 2021. Feeling very “stuck” in day to day work.
