OP if you can bench your body weight, that's good. Of course the only people on here who would respond to this thread can bench impressive amounts. Not a good sample
"Back in '02, I used to be able to throw a pigskin a quarter mile." I do the same bench workout every Friday and it suits me well. Rep 5-5-3-3-1-1. I start with 225 and add 20 lbs each set (i.e., 225x5, 245x5, 265x3, etc.). After that I grab 3 elastic bands and put them on the ends of the bar going under the bench. I put 225 on and bench that until failure with a spot. Last I grab two 5lbs plates and squish them together with my palms starting from my chest and push out. 3 sets of 10. Then I go home. Phenomenal workout for those chest gainzzzzz
If the bench is comfortable, I can drink a 6 pack sitting on it
About 4 weeks. Can squeeze in an extra week of bench time if I take pre workout
I can rep 445 1/8 times
The bar
The bar only....the hotel bar of course...

I can bench an infinite amount 1/2 a rep. Specifically the down half.
The only bench I know of is bench time and I do about 5% a year on average 💁

6'1" 225 three reps and I played college football. I feel like I'm going to hurt myself if I try to max anymore so I don't mess with that. Lots of liars up in here
41 and can still put up 225 6 times if i have a spotter
Don't bench press you will get arm barred. Always shrimp out instead...

Maxing out is stupid and how you injure yourself. It's a dong measurement not an effective workout for gains
Best was 425 @ 200 body weight
215 or 225 depending on the prior weeks lifting regimen
And you probably skip on squats and have chicken legs. We know QBs skip that stuff haha
