Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

OP if you can bench your body weight, that's good. Of course the only people on here who would respond to this thread can bench impressive amounts. Not a good sample
"Back in '02, I used to be able to throw a pigskin a quarter mile." I do the same bench workout every Friday and it suits me well. Rep 5-5-3-3-1-1. I start with 225 and add 20 lbs each set (i.e., 225x5, 245x5, 265x3, etc.). After that I grab 3 elastic bands and put them on the ends of the bar going under the bench. I put 225 on and bench that until failure with a spot. Last I grab two 5lbs plates and squish them together with my palms starting from my chest and push out. 3 sets of 10. Then I go home. Phenomenal workout for those chest gainzzzzz
When I'm fat and do too many team dinners and never move anything except my fingers making slides...my favorite weekend workout is squats. Feels so good when I've been a lazy ass all week
There's a popular chart that shows where you should be at with all of the major lifts, per BW and gender. Five tiers
@EY4 link?
245 for 6 or 8
225 x4
Holy guacamole, I thought I was doing well at 185. Well below avg per this thread so far..
I think you'd get a better read on it if you asked people their weight. If you bench 225 but are 400lbs it stops being impressive.
To get your bench up. You need to do resistance training
295
Do u even bench bro
P1 good point. Although, since we are busy consultants I assumed we would be avg individuals and not powerlifters. Around 180 to 200 lbs mark in terms of weight.
Ok here man. I am 6'2 and 210lbs and I put up 245 for 6 or 8. If I am maxing I can do 265 for 1
I played college football. Only people who are confident and want to brag are going to put their real numbers on here. If you lift (targeting your chest) once a week and exercise a few other times a week you'll be fine.
D4 is correct I played college football too
I'm 5'8" 155 and rep out 185 6-8. Max out 225. All depends on your build and the person. Didn't play college football 😂
I am also now a coed flag football champion and a sportsmanship award winner in a cornhole league *polishes fingernails against chest"
Also it's what you are training for. I lost 30lbs and train for marathon, 5k, 10k etc. and buying suits when you are big sucks. I might bench once every 2 weeks.
Can still get 225 up 10-12 temps , don't mess with max anymore my best was 365 3 reps
Reps
Btw op I was doing 185 In high school, step your game up son
