I save half of my paycheck every month. I divide that into two: half of that goes to a high yield savings and the other half my regular savings
I save my bonus of none of my salary
15% to 401k and another15% split between personal investment account and savings account. 100% of bonus goes to savings.
@JPM1 HY savings like Ally or something?
I would still save 10-15% in 401K and try to save at least $1000 a month in a HY savings
Also save your bonus
I spend ~3k per month and save the rest. Getting a good deal on rent is prob the biggest driver. Don't get suckered into those deals with 1 month free!
Oh yes I save 15% on 401K also
Yes I used to use GE Capital but they were just acquired by Goldman so I'm with Ally now
Wait wait. Assuming $85k base and 32% tax total, that leaves you with $4816 a month. 50% gone to savings, you guys live on $2416 a month? That's pretty damn impressive considering rent is like 75% of thar
*$2408
How can you assume $85k base? 😂😂😂 so random but no
Oh sorry sometimes I feel like everyone here is an IBD analyst haha. Your breakout makes much more sense on a high salary. How do you recommend the breakout for what I described?
