Hi everyone,
I have a total 9+ work ex in Devops and Release Management. Did an executive mba with a goal of breaking into Program management but got recruited into Management Consulting . In this company for the past 3 months.
I feel that my overall skills are better off in a TPM/Program Management role.
My overall experience makes me eligible for most PM roles.
My question is how do I prep for a TPM role since I don’t have development or Scrum Master exposure. Amazon India VMware BrowserStack Inc.
Anyone here can help with referral at wayfair?

Mixed bag. Large corps may be heavily staffed with lots of niche attorneys. You come in, work your 8 hours on your 3 deals (that take 6 months, involve plenty of delegation, and your edits trying to win a Pulitzer) and go home.
Whereas your traditional IHC role can be described as “leanly-staffed organizational chaos” requiring “good-enough” product delivered on tight timelines
My experience is that brand name companies trade security for compensation. This is fine but it is not going to get you rich. For the most part (unless you make gc at one of the brand names, and there is only one gc at each company), the only way to get rich is through leverage (higher risk company, bonus, and equity).
Thanks
it helps alot, i got my current role with the hiring manager who continued to sing praises to other coworkers about the my previous role at another well established company
Great!
