How much should the salary percentage increase be for moving in-house at a rising 4th year associate? I am earning 102k and want to ask for 162k for a tech company, is that okay?

Coming up on my 6 month review at work, I’m a junior and new to the world of consulting, should I be asking for a raise whilst at this meeting? I’m earning £30k year, 3 years of information governance/data protection experience, 1 year information security experience, CISMP Certified, FOI Practitioner Certified, DP Practitioner Certified, and Forensic Computing & Security BSc Hons degree

I received an offer for 80k to work as a desktop engineer for TCS at one of their client’s locations. However, I have seen poor reviews for working at TCS and I’d like to get some feedback from anyone currently or had previously worked for that company. What is the environment like and has anyone been in a situation where the contract with TCS and the client ended and had trouble with TCS finding them a new role at the same pay?

Leaving my (London, big US) firm; HR has sent me various confirmations they are asking me to sign “before my last day”: I haven’t taken any docs, am aware of my regulatory obligations, don’t have any claims against the firm, have returned everything I need to return etc etc etc. This feels like an obvious try-on: the firm isn’t paying me anything to sign, my reg obligations are unaffected by it etc. How do others manage these? Just walk out on last day?

Salary and benefits expected for a legal position with a brand new startup? Less than 10 employees and just starting operations. NYC. No current legal positions in the company (ie this is a quasi GC role).

Applying for some in-house M&A jobs, and a big focus is being able to run deals. I of course feel very comfortable running deals from the corporate side and managing multiple teams, but have obviously always had an army of specialists in biglaw. How does this work in house? I’m primarily thinking from a tax perspective — I likely wouldn’t be able to structure a deal (and don’t think many of my peers could either) since we always rely on a tax team, but not sure if that is an expectation.

With so many companies posting remote positions, any idea how state bar reqs are being handled? For ex, some (probably many) states have a req that an atty working for a co. in that state get admitted as in house counsel, but I’ve seen at least 1 state that requires the atty to be a resident for admission, which would seem to preclude candidates who live in other states.
