@Publicis1 Not sure about other teams, but on my team, unlimited PTO works well. People don’t come in when they are sick and feel ok about staying home (usually some WFH, too) when kids are sick. And we all respect dr appts, family obligations, and any other time when a member needs to be out. I’m sure there is abuse with this type of system; lucky that we seem to respect it.
It’s intended to be a scam, I’m sure. studies show that people won’t take as much vacation as when they feel they must “use it or lose it”, as well as the added bonus of not getting the “I quit” payout from leftover days after you leave. However, If you plan responsibly and don’t abuse, I’ve enjoyed it. When my schedule is light, I feel the freedom to request a random day without having to worry about using up a precious day I’d otherwise like for holidays or a vacation abroad. On average I’m using 10% more time than before. I’m sure my younger colleagues aren’t though. They’re the real victims in this.
The better question is if people are encouraged to take all of their vacation time at their company. More of a culture issue.
Depends on level and tenure. I get 20 days, plus 3 personal and plus summer fridays. But I’ve been here since the dawn of man
I have 28 days plus 3 summer days
I have unlimited - but asked my boss before signing «what does that translate to for you?». He said 5 weeks, and I signed the paper. Never again will I go a year without my vacay. Fuck that shit.
Unlimited.
I get 10 and I have to visit my family overseas. It's bullshit tbh
30 PTO/vacation days + generous company holidays
Depends on how many years you’ve been with the company. I’m at 27 days plus holidays.
27
22 is not low
I count all my PTO as vacation and have the same as you. Granted, I’m not an AD, so 22 is kind of low?
👆Great question.
15 vacation, 2 volunteer, closed Xmas-new year, unlimited PTO.
@SenCopywriter2 how does unlimited PTO work?? Do people respect it? Seems like a double edged sword... like if you use it too much you become a target. Would be ideal for parental and bereavement leave though.
I get 12....
At my agency, we respect people taking off. It's your own fault for not taking enough days off. Although our leadership is good in forcing people to take off if they haven't taken one in a while.
10 vacation days and 10 personal/sick days... :/
R/GA. I’ve been there awhile
Unlimited is a scam. You know this, right? If you have three weeks or 22 days you will take them. With unlimited, people will raise eyebrows
