How often do people switch from IB to consulting? Is there a good time do it? After 1/2/4 years or what..!

Hi, where or what types of companies should sophomores & juniors apply for next summer (2022) to recruit for IB the following summer (2023)? This summer BBs wrapped up SA IB recruitment, EBs even earlier, and a fair amount of my friends missed out big time.

Also, if a sophomore or junior doesn’t get a finance-related summer internship (I.e tech) and aims for an IB SA or FT position, is it harder to break in?

T3 firm reached out re: direct admit to the partnership with some runway to grow the practice. I am at a firm now where there aren’t bright line metrics to make PPMD, but think I could make it in 2-5 years. This would be a step down in brand, but might be better from a WLB and getting to start at partner. I have been having occasional very mild chest pain once in a while. Have had a generalized anxiety disorder for a while which is now pretty mild with therapy and exercise too. Wondering if the chest..

I just learned I was parentified severely, especially emotionally. The discovery came from outside of therapy, but having a place every week to sit down, slow down & reflect def led to it. Being enmeshed with my parents like this was a cause for my anxiety, low self esteem and workaholic, people pleasing tendencies. Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones.
