Had no idea this subculture existed. Kudos to y’all
If you check your bag you’ll be in good shape.
Shouldn’t have a problem carrying on but I’d check if I had tons of food
I travel through O’Hare with cooked food all the time, no major issues. Occasionally, they may just check but no big deal
I have a fridge and ask for a microwave. Not all hotels have one for the room but almost all hotels have one you can use somewhere. I pack my food in an insulated bag and put it in the fridge at the client site. You can bring ice packs through security if they are totally frozen. I’m on a per diem now but when I wasn’t I got approval from the director to expense groceries as a cash expense because I saving the client money a way
I expense keto friendly protein bars and bring them with me.
I ve also packed food ,non keto friendly lasagna that I ate throughout the week. Way healthier than the fast food ridden city where the client was. Tsa never bothered me
Just no liquids. So, dressing, yogurt, etc are limited.
I bring all my food with me every week. I put it in my bag and check it on the way to the client and carry it on with all my Tupperware on the way home. It actually makes Monday mornings easier
I just take monday lunch. Passes security with little scrutiny. May I’ll consider taking food for whole week.
What kind of food are we talking about? Meal prep sounds like cooked food- what food are your bringing that won’t spoil without refrigeration?
Also are you expensing any of it- I’m sure it was purchased whilst away from client but consumed at client site.
I try to ask for a fridge at the hotel. I don’t think I can expense it right?
I travel with food every week stay away from liquids and avoid aluminum foil as that is a guaranteed extra security check
Guys I just thought of something last night, why don’t we just buy those prepacked meals that are popular these days?! A lot of them are local and in big cities
