Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India Hello.
My job application status in portal says it is under review since one month but I haven't recieved any calls or mails. Does it mean I am still in consideration or they have put my candidature on hold?

Prepare--- give 2-3 interviews just to get your hold--- got confidence --- resign--- give interviews.
If you start clearing interviews, you will see that you will clear all the interviews. Initially, you will face rejection-- learn and give as many interviews as you can.

Naukri Tweaks:
1. Update Naukri profile 2-3 times in a week, just uploading resume again would work.
2. Have relevant keywords related to profile mentioned in your Naukri profile(to get the keywords just go through any JD of any job related to profile)
3. Mention all the tools, tech in the profile
4. In Profile summary mention YOE and also which position you are looking for.
For LinkedIn
-only apply to jobs which have easy apply on them
-get referrals for the ones redirecting to company website
#Note- Dont apply through company websites directly for Indian companies, ATS software filters out most of the resumes if certain keywords are not matched from your profile, Always create a simple resume, dont use any kind of tables, since ATS softwares wont be able to read correctly from them and hence your chances of shortlisting get very lesser.
You can apply directly on website for onsite companies.
Avoid grammatical, indentation and text sizing mistakes, Try to use one fontt throughout resume to nake it look elegant.
In Cutshort, I liked the feature that recruiter reaches to us and chats with us prior to interview and then we get interview call, many startups hire via this platform, also saw Amazon hiring through here.
Thank you so much for this.. I'm a new jobseeker and this is really helpful
Controversial answer ahead, Lie and say ur NP is 2 months, get the calls from recruiters then say it's 3 months but negotiable 2 months or less. Most of the recruiters will accept it and schedule your interview. Get the offer letter and resign. Keep applying for better companies while serving your notice period and farming offers.
It's tried and tested method I switched from 2 companies with 3 months notice period but now i have made it a priority to join companies with max 2 months NP.
After the great resignation most of the companies have changed their np to 3 month. Even in probation period it's 3 months.

See folks you need tto understand every hiringg is different they might require some to join in 60 days buts that noot with every opening in the company
Let me share what my friends did, Update Naukri as 60 days notice. Keep applying jobs daily so that you will start getting calls(this is must). Attend interviews and get a satisfying offer, this is your safe bet. Drop your papers then look for counter offers. You can surely get one and match your exit date.
In case you are in a situation to hold first offer, inform them around last 20days that you look leave for some medical issues so notice got extended, some convincing reason and get the joining extended as per ur actual last date.
Ps: 1. In case any recruiter knows already that your company has 90 days notice, you can tell that you have informed your manager that you are searching job so you can get released in 60days.
2. For first offer, Try to get joining date with 60 days plus two weeks buffer as joining next day of exit is tiring for candidate. And non will raise exit request immediately after getting an offer.
So extending two more weeks to match 90days won't be big deal.
This is only a safe move, else you can proceed resignation and then search job as under notice candidates are always considered.
Thats the reason im on Notice period and will apply when i will have last 60 days so get refrence and apply at end.
@Ibm 1 - risk hai to ishq hai...
Dont mention 3 months.. say 2 months if they ask how 2 months... You can say it's negotiable or you will get early release. With this at least you can go through the interview process and if. You clear it and they ask you to send the screenshot of the resignation you can edit the date in the browser by inspecting the elements then take the screenshot and send them.. later if you plan to join them tell them you took some leaves and your notice period got extended or some other excuses
Buddhii bahut tez hai tumhari.jpg
Bro it's not like that, just resign & after 45 days update it on naukri.com ,that you have resigned & serving the notice period of 45 days.
You will get minimum 10 to 15 interview call daily (from MNC's also).
Don't put yourself in the trap of 90 days notice period.
Ask for buy out option, evey company gives that also company who will be hiring you will also be ready to support in buy out option and will compensate in terms of joining bonus and all.
Rest you can adjust your Paid leaves in notice period
Last you can take.help.of your HoD to waive of the notice period
In TCS, earned leaves are frozen once you put down the papers. Buyout as an option is existent only in the policy documents, they don't allow it especially in the current environment, even if other company contacts them directly asking for a buyout. I guess the situation is the same in all the large IT firms.
During initial connect, say HR that notice is 3 months, but it's easily negotiable. Ask if the former company is willing to buy out.
Point to note: After you pass all the interview rounds, ball is in your court. The company will be making all efforts to hire you.
While they release the final call letter, ask them to put the DOJ as 90 days from then. Make sure, you never accept a offer letter, which is not in your favour. Sometimes HR Teams re-negotiate for mentioning the DOJ as early as possible. Stay firm on your grounds and ask HR to take whatever approvals they need to mention the DOJ as 90 days, after which you will accept the call letter. Make them understand that it's a policy in your company and I have to stick to it whatsoever. Assure them that, after putting down the papers, you will talk to your manager & HR for notice buyout and accordingly communicate them the same.
After the above discussion the HR team take some time to release the final call letter, obviously because they are taking approvals. Don't be too eager and keep calling them. Just ask once and then wait. Call latter shall roll out in 1-2 weeks.
This has helped me so far and never did I serve full 3 months in any company.

Thats just one of the issues. Most firms have 90 day notice all getting new jobs including me
It's fine buddy. You can prepare yourself now because you will get back to back interviews in last 30 days, so just brush up things for now and upskill yourself if you are getting a lot of time and apply lots and lots of jobs and build network!! If you still get time, do some work in your present company! 🙊🙊
Tell them it is negotiable. Clear the interviews. Then you can say management did not approved.
I dont know if that’s a good call, but I actually resigned first n then I had 3 months of sleepless nights and at the end I landed myself into a good job
I am in the same situation.... not even getting calls for the interview...
And if any organization calls, they first ask for the NP which is 90 days... and after hearing this they just say that they'll inform me(just d way of hanging up the call).🙃
How to handle this?
M also facing same thing
Try to lie 😎
Here’s something you could do- face as many interviews as possible. You’ll realise where you stand.
If you can clear the interviews, it’s an indication that you’ll be able to bag a job.
This also would give you the confidence for you to resign without any offer in hand.
Put down your papers and once you’ve got 45 days left in your notice period, start applying again. Since your notice period now is less, companies will be willing to hire you.
Correct me if I’m wrong.
I know this is a risky path. But what’s life without taking any risks.
I have submitted ARF & IRF of Capgemini and all other relevant documents.
In how many days I will get a offer letter ?
When HR says asks abot your notice period tell them it is negotiable, and once yout grt the offer you can ask them to increase your joining date as they wont go over the hassle of cancelling your offer letter just because you will join 2 weeks late or so.
Companies don't want to go over hiring a new person process again so they accept your demands.
Major IT companies hire all year around , they dont hire specifically for a project so they will accept your 3 months notice period as well as they just want people for bench strength and them move them to project
I have been in this situation, so telling from my personal experience
tell interviewer that you will be manage to released within on 40-45 days,
