Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

I am looking for a change in pace/better work life balance. I have spent a lot of years/time in Big4 and I've gained valuable experience, which would make me a great asset to anywhere I choose to go. Something of that sort.
I'm tired
Say it’s not because i want to leave, it’s because you guys are the best and i want to join your great team or some such bullshit.
Work life balance. This is my standard answer.
And if the interviewer doesn’t want to proceed because of that, then I’ve dodged a bullet.
Evaluated and don’t think I want to be partner long term. Due to WLB, blah blah...
Also, ready to move to a role where I’m the decision maker, one implementing controls, make a difference, etc versus reviewing what someone else has done in the past...
I would tell the real reason.
What kind of position are you applying for?
Compensation. KPMG offered me (with 0 experience in advisory) $100k to join their deals practice. I’m making $67k at PwC. Seems like a no brainer
