I would say most people feel the way you do but if the company decides they want a culture where people are coming in X amount of days I doubt you will do anything to change their mind. I feel the days are over of companies making one off exceptions and normally it’s a single policy for everyone.
Yeah I get the broad strokes rules but my my transport is so expensive it would be nice to get more time at home.
Approach it with the reasoning that you do better work when remote. You can focus more, deliver more quality, etc. You have to show them the value for it to make sense on their side. All that being said, some companies are not at all flexible with it.
Yeah my company seems very not flexible with the idea do to “client satisfaction” reasons or something like that.
Just ask and make sure to add other things in your request so you can negotiate on multiple fronts and leverage wfh more
I’m currently negotiating a shift change, maybe I can add it onto that.
