I'm glad my old man and my uncles aren't around to see it. The World War II vets would be disgusted to see an American president constantly trying to please a foreign dictator. It's just bizarre to me that it's happening in plain sight and half the country seems to think it's a great idea. I guess we're just dumbed down to that point.

Now do uncles Joe, Chiang, and Mao
John Mearsheimer is the seminal voice on Ukraine/Israel, spending decades of life on it. He can clear up everything for you but you’ll be frustrated at what politicians do and how citizens cover their ears.
like I said, frustration ensues when people think they know better than the subject matter authority, usually just showing their own shortcomings in reasoning ability. JM is also a vet btw USMA + USAF
There are valid arguments to be made of why Ukraine isn’t our war and we shouldn’t support them the way we are. I don’t agree with those arguments, but they can be made.
But the victim blaming we’re doing of Ukraine is absurd. How our government is blaming them is crazy. How republicans who just several months back said we should support Ukraine and Putin was a murderous dictator and a threat to Europe and our national security interests, and now they can’t even say he’s a dictator (and are instead saying Zelensky is a dictator) is embarrassing. Trump’s envoy to Ukraine (Kellogg) has reportedly been silenced / moved away from cameras as his words were too pro Ukraine.
How were strong arming Ukraine for their minerals for not future assistance, but the help we’ve already given them.
How we’re negotiating without Ukraine. And were giving concessions to Russia before negotiations even started.
All of this is so embarrassing. The people of Ukraine deserve so much more. As do Americans. This bromance Trump has for Putin and other similar strongmen is so weird and is nothing but reflective of what Trump aspires himself to be.

Sure seems like realism and a desire to not get into a hot war with a nuclear power to me. Read nuclear war a scenario and come back to chat about how good an idea it is to tempt fate like that.
I feel great about making the government transparent with and accountable for every dime of Taxpayer Money it spends. I reject your premise that we are siding with Russia over Ukraine. What we're doing is calling them both out equally as the corrupt, imperialistic dictatorships that they both are and forcing then both to come to heel and work out a peace treaty.

WTF.
“UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.S. has pressured Ukraine to withdraw its European-backed U.N. resolution demanding an immediate withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine in favor of an American proposal that does not mention Moscow’s invasion, a U.S. official and a European diplomat said Sunday.”
Weird how you jumped from the US gets “nothing in return” from participating in NATO to "Look forward to hearing your reports from the front lines in Ukraine."
