Is it easy for engineers to become TPMs?
PwC has provisionally cleared me to join the firm first week of Jan. What does this mean? Can I start working with them even if the background check is still running in parallel? Can I quit my current job and expect everything to be cool? They said it's taking them longer to verify education and previous employment. Both of which are international.

Hey I did this. When you interview check with the team if there is room for growth with other tech stacks. For example, what does the team do when they have a requirement that can’t be met with the low code platform? I’ve shifted to traditional coding role and it was easier than expected. First few projects were mostly just adding functionality to existing apps, easy to copy design patterns and other methods, lots of trial and error.
Thanks y'all. I really appreciate these responses. This will help me out a ton!
I’d say mid level if you have transferable skills. But if you really don’t know how to code, then I’d say junior but possibly negotiate to higher salary.
I appreciate the feedback. I'll definitely keep that in mind if I am required to take more of a Jr role.
No experience here, just wanted to say that's awesome
Low-code/no-code is the way of the future.
It will keep getting better, especially as they add AI into it. There are a lot of new products, like Webflow. Many new startups are using WebFlow. I have my doubts that no/low code will overtake regular development, but you can have a good career with it. The enterprisey ones tend to pay well (Appian, OutSystems, MuleSoft, Salesforce), but I would be careful about being too tied to a single type of system. In software, things change too quickly.
What kind of developer in aerospace? Is it business type applications or avionics, simulations, etc.?
I suspect those kinds of positions tend to be staffed by people with engineering degrees. What kind of background do you have? Business app development is easier to get in to.
