I am a freshman in college and want to start applying for some summer internships to gain experience. I’m worried that it may be too early for me to land a good internship. Should I wait or start now?

I’m a free-lance video producer wanting to expand more into social media content creation. Any advice? Feel especially weak on understanding analytics. Course recommendations? I have strong journalism background. Write, shoot, direct and edit.

What did your first year in big law look like?

Management consultant evaluating an offer from Google’s Go-to-market team (Strategy & Operations) in India. Two questions:
1. Given it’s an internal consulting role, are the hours equally bad / worse than consulting firms?
2. Is it virtually impossible to move to a product ladder after spending 1-2 yrs in the role?

Can one make a transition from salesforce to SAP functional consulting.If yes then how and will it be helpful in long run.

Is it normal for PPMD to jump around? I feel like I’ve met a few that have spent time as PPMD at different firms or have just recently joined EY from another Big 4/competitor.

I am SAP HCM consultant having 4.10 years of experience. I feel that this module doesn’t have any growth. My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. Should I be worried about my skillset? Any insights would highly be appreciated. I feel stuck.

Not sure about WLB and whether there’ll be enough growth and learning opportunities after reading some of the threads here. Anyone up for sharing their experience? Hello all, I am a production manager for a sign design and manufacturing company. I have been with the company for six years now starting as lead graphic designer working my way to the production manager. since becoming the production manager two years ago I am responsible for 4 large format printers and 1 vinyl plotter. I’m wearing too many hats but I love what I do. I would love to be a remote graphic designer but I don’t know where to start. Any suggestions?

Can anyone tell me the difference between a senior and lead validation engineer( no direct reports in both cases) in Pharma/ biotech ? I am not sure what’s the hierarchy and which level must get a higher salary. Or is it just referenced interchangeably in different companies ?

I’m so tired of US companies hiring remote Canadian employees offering to pay a fraction of the price for the same role.

This is consistent across the majority of the tech companies. While I am looking to exit consulting, don’t want to be paid 50% of what my colleagues would be making across the border.

I’m currently a Grade 11 at Cisco. With the recent pay structure changes my annual comp will be $150k + 12% bonus. I live in a large metro area in the middle of the US. I’m looking to move around the company so that I can make commission but I don’t want to be an account manager. Can anyone tell me if there are Customer Success Managers, etc positions that manage customers post sale and have a similar range base as me with commission plans? I’m just trying to understand income potential.

Reorgs are just a part of the corporate world. If you haven’t been a part of one in your career yet, then you most likely haven’t been in the corporate workforce for very long. If you have been a part of a reorg, however, how do you personally approach it? There are many factors at play, but in general do you try to establish relationships with the individuals you know will be key contributors and/or decision makers going forward? Or do you lay low and let what ever happens be/hope for the best?
