I am a licensed Paramedic of 17 years that is getting too old to climb inside upside down vehicles. My background includes claims specialist and provider network consultant for Aetna from 1994-2001. I currently oversee an EMS service of about 85 employees that includes everything that comes with a hospital owned EMS service. I am looking for a career change. I have tons of experience with different things. I would love to work from home and focus my experience on something new.

Me knowing I do not meet most of the qualifications for this position has my imposter syndrome thinking I shouldn’t even do this interview because it would be a waste of time. What should a coder/biller/transcriptionist make with over 15 years of experience? I am currently the only person in the office that can do those jobs with no backup. I code and bill all office visits for 5 orthopedic providers and all surgical coding/billing for 3 surgeons. I also do any transcription that is needed.
