Hi, I been working for Lloyds Bank for almost 9 years now , I recently attended a interview for Barclays and offered an Senior Business Analyst AVP role in Wealth and private banking area. I did not see much difference in the salary offered and it is pretty much same ie 68.5k.But the difference is current role is London based, however the Barclays one is based in Glasgow where cost of living is less in comparison. I am unable to decide whether to take the offer or not..any suggestions will be helpful pls.

Don’t switch out of big 4
Deloittes advisory practice is more stable than GT’s. IMO when times get tough GT often makes cuts to their advisory practice first.
also, am I really an A1?
The fact that you went through the effort of looking at this new role and doing the interview means you want to leave. The 20k you mentioned just shows that you want to make excuses to leave. So I say go for it. No one can tell you something that you already decided on
I view it as an option based on the current Lower rates of promotion and compensation raises @ D. That does not mean I have made up my mind!
I’d say go ahead now! You can always go back to Deloitte as a boomerang and if you do go back you’ll be at a much higher salary range. Perfect opportunity to try your luck with GT

As other people have mentioned, might be early to jump ship from B4 at second year esp if you’re a high performer and up for senior roles soon.
That aside, where are you currently located? Is SoCal an area you’d want to relocate to. Is relocation optional or will it be an expectation that you move at some point, if so, what would that timeline be (leases and other factors to consider there)
Depending on how many % is your 20k
I'm in my 2nd year at GT advisory. Jumping to a tiny PA firm for family relocation reason tho I absolutely love the people at GT. I think I'm making as much as you atm but I'm getting a 40k pump to the much small firm, also to Socal. My advise is, go for it. You may like it and if yo udont, you can always go back.
Stay where you r
Stay where you are I wouldn’t leave big 4 as a second year
$60k to 80k is excellent in this economy. Go for it. Just go back after a few years and you'll get another bump. This or 0-1% raise at DT.
