Best books on leadership and self development?

Three job interviews with a company, last one creating a marketing plan and presenting to marketing VP. I received good feedback from him. Three days later recruiter wants to give me a call and “give an update”. Schedules it after 2 days. This morning cancels last minute as they are having “internal discussions”. I’m really annoyed and tired. Thoughts?

I joined an agency about 2 months ago and every single day I get more responsibilities, to the point that I don't even know what my actual job title is. I'm frustrated, to say the least.

So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?

First time poster here!

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?

If I were to make a career change out of HR, what else could I use my skills for? I have 10 years of progressive HR experience from HR Assistant up to Director and have started thinking about a change.

Internship Program Help: Hi Everyone! I’ve never worked for a company with any type of internship program at all, let alone a really successful one. My new company thrives off our internship program, with many of our managers/directors having started as one themselves. I’d like to create more of a structure to this program but not even really sure where to begin. This bowl was originally created for black attorneys in big law, but since it’s the only bowl for black attorneys, many black attorneys in other sectors have joined. Some people are apprehensive about starting another bowl for all black attorneys because it will take away from this bowl. Assuming that the conversations & topics will stay the same, What are you thoughts on keeping this bowl solely for black in big law verses Opening this bowl to any black lawyer?

Another day passes without a job. To all those unhappy in your current positions of employment, imagine being among the long-term unemployed with no unemployment checks, no savings, and a job market where even getting a fast food job is nearly impossible due to COVID workplace restrictions faced by many places like mine. I’d even be thrilled to mop floors from Walmart using my law degree at this point, if they were hiring here.

I've been following Coforge LinkedIn page, and I have decent offer from them. In one call HR said we will be moving towards 5 days work from Office, to which I said I don't mind. Now that aside, their LinkedIn posts everyone at VP SVP levels are joining.. seems like they are growing very fast, as hiring at such high Positions happens only that time.

Question is - whenever I compare Coforge with any other people say avoid Coforge.. Why????
