Can you tell your YOE ? I think the german compensation is on the very low side & the taxation is also on the higher side. If u have exp around 6 yoe , then the pay seems fine . Did u check with company HR for the gross and net calculations on the pay per month?
Chief
Personally I would also take the offer..as not much dependent on job and want to try overseas..can surely get better offer once learnt German..but till that time it will be like hell..esp if you go with family with that salary..
Look from longer term ,your Indian CTC is touching upper bracket of what Indian IT is usually offering for leadership position if non cloud tech. Moving above your current CTC in India there will be limited offering excluding Google,Microsoft and amazon plus these company will also offer esop related stuff but limited in-hand whereas with German offer in coming year u can touch 90k - 100k very easily plus various European,US,UK and Cad market will also open.
What makes you think 48LPA is an upper band in India ???
Not a good idea. You'll have to put in much more efoffthan you think. Learn German here in 6 months and then try
Whatever helps you prove you know German and let's you get €100k + jobs in Germany
I will surely prefer this opportunity. Considering ppp this may be a low offer considering your experience. But the life experience and exposure you will get there will be great and best in the world. Poor infrastructure, corruption and egoistic behaviour among different sections in India can't be changed within some years of one's lifetime.Once you are in Germany you can shoot for the stars. This offer will definitely be good for the long-term.
Thanks! That's what I am hoping for!
I don't see salary is the real concern for ur switch to Germany . U wanted to go there and explore something for ur future , so its fine to go with low salary and then u can switch for a better future .
Note : In Germany the salary will not be based on ur previous CTC like India so it should be fine. U can switch within a year .
If the position ur going is a contract for some specific years then u can re think ur decision .
It's always good to explore new things when we don't have much responsibilities in India .All the best !!
If ur going in some contract then it may impact ur switch or else ur free to make a switch at any point of time after reaching Germany . So only I have mentioned if it's contract u can re think ur decision or else ur fine to go .
You can lead a peaceful life in German, but growth in career is very slow i believe in European countries.
Take it!
That's very low, considering current position.
65K EU in Germany is a huge down grade compared to 48 LPA in India...
This is way too low, i was kind in your situation couple of month back, but my offer was for Paris (75k), but still i choose to stay in india only. 85k+ should be something atleast to give up a good job in India.
As of Now don't move to Germany as they are in Recession Time and Their Money Euro value gradually decreasing to in World Market
Better to do Job in India...
I was offered 60k by a german firm but I didnt join as I have a ctc of 35lpa in india. Makes no sense to survive hand to mouth in a new country when tou can live a king life here in jndia. I was okay with 75k tak ka ctc. You can decide based on your condition.
Extreme low for Germany.
I would say Indian offer is much better as per our purchasing power parity index.
Also position matters alot never compromise on that part.
Hey congrats on the offer..!
How much time u have left until u have to join in Germany? If theres still time like 2+ months, i think u can try looking for any other offer leveraging this one..
Thanks buddy!
Too low, you are far better off here in India.
65k is Nothing in Europe
Don't go for it
May I ask Where do you work?
What exactly is your role? Are you related to IT industry or some other industries?
48lpa is too low for VP,
My Manager has 50lpa minimum
And how much do you make?
I would suggest you to continue in India , i still see the market is hot for job seeks .€ 65k in Germany with a blue card is not worth it. It is almost the same as going back 5yrs in your career which is not worth it..
Non-IT and making 48lpa is a good achievement..i gues you can have a well settled life in India's tier1 cities as well 🙂
Think what you can do with 48 lpa in India and what you can do in 65k in Germany.. you can love a lavish life in india with current compensation such as own a good car, get a flat of own in matro city, arrange house helps for cooking, dish washing etc. Get personal medical insurance policy and term life insurance. You don't have to use public transport and ofcourse alot of other perks.
When you land in Germany you leave all these perks and start living a low key life. Decide what you want and choose wisely.
I got similar offers in past but decided to stay in india by factoring above benefits..
