I am a year 1 director at PwC and am in the interview process for a SMAP role at Bain in the PI group as an Expert. My understanding is that this means I get a decent pay jump as I move but have slower progression in the Expert track. Key questions: 1. If compensation is to my satisfaction at SM, how hard do I push for AP over SM? 2. Are Experts highly valued and kept in the organization or do they cut Experts first when times are difficult? 3. Generally, is Bain on a growth trajectory in PI?
