Bain & Company I am an SAP consultant with 15 YOE, living in Germany and working as In house IT Lead in a German company.
I do have good prospect here for progress but limited salary however as my earlier background was with Deloitte and PwC, I keep feeling to apply for McKinsey or BCG or Bains.
Would this be right decision? Do they consider such experience? McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group

Have a search for Expert roles in McKinsey Operations practice. I'm an experienced hire in tech for one of the Ops groups practices. Came in as a specialist and now Expert AP as the global lead for tech in my field, I am very valued :)

This is a very open question. In house IT is very different from core consulting
I agree with your point.
However, I was implementing business processes in SAP as a function consultant when I was part of Deloitte. Even after moving to In-house IT at same client, doing the same thing in addition to more responsibilities.
Still I am feeling that I am doing same Consulting work.
Use a career coach, specialize your CV and prep case studies.
Go for it, nothing ventured nothing gained
It’s hard to say if “the consider such experience “ until you apply and get interviewed. If you get an offer, it means they consider your experience. It’s always case by case. MBB is diverse and hard to have an answer to such question.
Probably BCG Platinion, maybe GAMMA would suit better. It’s not easy, from there you could later jump to core consulting team.

I will check for related roles in BCG too. I am a process expert of Healthcare Industry and In past has worked extensively in FMCG company too.
