I’ve always heard of you have a solid year or two you should be more than fine. There are also a lot of good books on opening new practices
One thing to consider going from a firm to starting your own is that you will just need to be more intentional about connecting with more senior attorneys for mentorship opportunities and continued learning. From my perspective 5 years experience is the sweet spot for hanging your own shingle, but to each their own
