I am currently full time employed, however, have 2 little kids and am not able to travel as much as my current role/boss is demanding. I am debating trying contracting work so I don't have to work summers or breaks if necessary. Does anyone have any advice on how to go about getting set up where you would have constant work when needed? Insurance is through hubbie so not a concern there.

My firm has applied for my L1A visa. If that gets denied, my plan is to travel to Canada and re enter US immediately on B1/B2 visa (already have valid B1/B2 stamp) so that I'll get time to figure out things here in the US (sell my stuff, handle my bank accts etc). Hi, just wondering how the staffing situation has been in strategy consulting in general? My sibling started a job in strategy in Silicon Valley 2 months ago after MBA. She has been on the bench for 2 months and was informed that there has been a shortage of jobs (within the job) and the amount of people on the bench is getting high.
