Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

Are you working on Trailheads? I would recommend starting by getting your Marketing Cloud Admin certification. I’m happy to help with any questions.
Yes I am working on the trailhead modules, aiming to get my Email Specialist Cert soon. How to break into the actual work ex?
What type of roles are you looking for? Industry? Consulting? SFMC admin, campaign manager, developer?
Industry and Campaign Manager roles.
Email Specialist is a good one to start on for Industry and Campaign manager roles you mentioned OP.
Agree, email specialist cert makes sense. Have you started looking for jobs? I know many companies that try to hire for this role and struggle because of the lack of talent. There should be many opps out there.
I am based in Canada and looking for ways to get my foot into the door by searching for contract jobs in US, but wondering if there’s enough demand for a ‘newbie’(well not really as I have experience with email marketing /automation).
Congratulations. Best of luck to you. MC is a great tool.
